Neither is universally better. Node.js suits real-time features, high concurrency and teams already writing JavaScript on the frontend. Laravel suits content-heavy applications, admin-driven business systems and projects where PHP hosting is already in place. We build in both and will recommend the one that fits your requirement rather than the one we feel like using.
It depends on scope. A focused API for a mobile app is a contained piece of work, while a microservices platform with multiple integrations costs considerably more. We scope first and quote a fixed price per phase, with the assumptions written down so there are no surprises later.
Yes. We regularly build or rebuild the backend for an app that already exists. We start from your current API contract so the app keeps working, then improve performance, security and documentation behind it — usually without the app needing a store update.
Express for most projects, because it is simple and widely understood. Nest where a larger team benefits from enforced structure and dependency injection. We pick based on team size and project lifespan, and explain the trade-off before starting.
Yes, when it is built for it. Node.js handles many concurrent connections well, but throughput still depends on database design, caching and how the application is deployed. We load test before launch and configure clustering, caching and horizontal scaling so capacity is measured rather than assumed.
